Say your vows on Star Hill
One wedding at a time, on a hill that looks out over the ponds, the lake and the pastures beyond.
THE CEREMONY
Star Hill
We have left the hill almost exactly as we found it. The one addition is a timber platform for the two of you, with room either side for flowers and musicians.
Chairs come with your package. It is a short walk up from parking, and we run golf carts for anyone who would rather ride. When the ceremony ends nobody gets in a car — you simply walk back down the hill to the pavilion.
THE RECEPTION
The waterside pavilion
The pavilion was built for events and nothing else. It sits at the water with a bar on the deck, an expansive covered porch and enough room inside to put every guest under roof if a storm is forecast.
We are far enough from the road and from other houses that your vows and your music are the only things anyone hears.

A FEW FROM LAST SEASON
Your photographer will not run short of places to stand
Put the wedding party on the farm.
Two log homes that sleep seven apiece, a cabin for four, and the Love Shack — a one-room cabin for getting ready that comes with every wedding. Nobody has to drive back to Staunton at midnight.
Getting ready
Hair and makeup by the stone fireplace, with room for the whole party and somewhere to hang the dress.
Somewhere to wait
A finished basement with a bar, a game room and a foosball table, which is where the groomsmen tend to end up.
Three places to sleep
Charlie’s Guest House, The Lake House and Catbird Cabin — all on the property, a few minutes from the pavilion.
