Charlie's Guest House
A custom-built log home with an open living room, a large stone fireplace and a kitchen and dining area on the main floor, along with the master bedroom and bath. Upstairs there is a second bedroom, a bathroom and a loft that looks down over the living room.
The walk-out basement adds a bar, a game table and a sitting area with a sleeper sofa. A deck wraps the whole house, including a screened porch with a big picnic table.

The Lake House
A lakeside log home with an open living, dining and kitchen area on the main floor and the master bedroom, with a king bed, alongside it. Upstairs holds a queen bedroom, a bathroom and a loft with a single bed overlooking the living room. The walk-out basement has a third bedroom with two singles and its own bath.
A deck wraps three quarters of the house with a gas grill on the porch, and the putting green and fairway sit right out front.

SLEEPS 4 · $100 A NIGHT
Catbird Cabin
Small, warm and cheap — one room with a queen bed made up for you and a loft above it with two twin mattresses. Bring sleeping bags or your own linens for the loft.
There is a wood stove inside, a picnic table and a fire pit outside, and you have the use of an indoor kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. The fishing and everything else on the farm comes with it.

Worth knowing before you book
NO SIGNAL, ON PURPOSE
There is no cell service, no internet and no cable at either log home. Each has a television with a DVD player and a house phone. The setting more than makes up for it.
HOUSE RULES
Children are welcome. Pets are not. All of the rentals are non-smoking, and there is a two-night minimum — shorter stays will be turned down.
GETTING HERE
We are a short drive from historic Staunton and from Highland County, and the George Washington National Forest starts where the farm ends.
